When Cop26 happened in Glasgow, at the start of November 2021, ARTSCAPE brought creative practitioners to Hafren Forest, near Llanidloes, to develop artworks that respond to the climate crisis.
Camilla Saunders, a composer, works with the dancer Sudestada Project to create a sound installation and dance performance weaving together sounds captured from Hafren Forest, storytelling and the voices of pupils from local junior school.
Billie Ireland, an artist, creates a symbolic artwork and buries carbon treasures, as well as inviting people to consider the possibilities of Biochar through a live demonstration and talks led by Tony Davies.
PuppetSoup will run community puppet making workshops around Llanidloes and create a trail of puppet stages for the public to use in the Hafren Forest.
